The Stays-Dress is inspired by the old fashioned Middle Ages Peasant Overdress, a type of garment that over many decades women, usually from the poorest classes worn on top of different types of clothes. It is not meant to be a historically accurate design as this type of garment was usually not boned, but rather a reinterpretation of the garment mixed up with the concept of a stays. The Stays-Dress goes from the waist line, covers all the back and gets above the bust area at the front .You can wear it with a wide dress/chemise underneath as well as a pair of trousers or leggings . Depending on whether you are used or not to wearing corsets, I will create a more or less tight corset for you, so that you will be able to enjoy your made to measure garment just with joy and with no pain whatsoever

The Stays-Dress is fully boned with sturdy plastic boning and carefully handmade in my little lab according to your request. The lining is cotton and you can choose what kind of colour to make your corset with. If your request includes a specific type of fabric of your choice there will be a surcharge in the price

You can decide to get the top side of your Dress as pointy or rounded. You can choose whether having a straight lacing up or a tilted one. If you order the tilted version you can add a matching attached Stomacher. That way you can decide whether showing off your skin or covering it up and recreate that more historical type of appearance. You can also choose the length of your dress as short (above the knees) or long (around the calves)
